Clients are accepted based on complimentary values & a shared vision for the project

Most design projects can be tailored to most budgets, so if you’re feeling drawn to my work, please book a free consultation, or reach out via my email address on the contact page. My “design style” is nuanced, honest, playful, nostalgic, and true to source.

Services

I’m currently operating on a sliding scale system, meaning that you pay what you’re able to afford. If you have questions about this pricing system or need a partial scholarship, please email me at medorakeadesign@gmail.com.

  • REMOTE E DESIGN
    $50-150 per 1 hour session
most useful when you have one to three specific problem areas in mind & can’t quite figure out what to do, or you need a fresh perspective. via video call.

  • PARTIAL DESIGN
    $300-800 per room*
moodboards, timelines, and diy instructions, oh my! best suited for those who want a designer touch on a diy budget.

  • FULL DESIGN
    $2-3k per room*
we’ll be hiring painters, electricians, and skilled craftspeople at this budget. i will personally order & track all packages, take you antiquing, and arrange furniture for you. additionally, you’ll receive high quality, styled photos of your new home.

*i use the word “room” because that’s what most of us are familiar with, although this way of thinking about & dividing up our living spaces is a colonized way of being. i would absolutely still love to work with you if your living environment looks different than a standard house or apartment.

What to expect

  1. getting to know you, your style, and your space - questionnaire and / or home consultation, depending on the size of the project.

  2. planning & problem solving - function first. furniture sizing, storage needs, layout options, etc.

  3. dreaming (the exciting part!) - let’s grab lunch & look at pinterest & put together a gorgeous mood board

  4. decision-making - merging the practical & the pretty

  5. shopping - i can purchase everything & style the space, leading to a grand reveal (full design), or i can put together a timeline & shopping list so you can create your home as budget allows (partial design)

  6. review the process - what went well? what would we change for next time? future plans?
